After his son said he wanted to play hockey to get out of wrestling, the hockey journey started. Enduring both house leagues and travel leagues in CA, they escaped to the free state of Tennessee. Jim did a year as team manager for the Outlaws JV team, he decided it was time for kids to play in their own county of Montgomery. Contacting Melissa Suss, Brian Bailey, and several others led to the inception of both Montgomery County Hockey and the first team to play in GNASH from Montgomery County the Rangers.
